What is Key 2
Life E-EMR? It is a unique medical flash drive that can be worn around your neck, on your wrist, attached to a key chain or inserted into your wallet. The Key 2 Life E-EMR is capable of storing a patients complete medical record for use in emergencies as well as everyday medical procedures. The personal use Key 2 Life Emergency Electronic Medical Record Storage System is a patients medical history in a portable digital format.
How long will it take to
insert my medical history? With many multiple drop down menus with a point and click system incorporated, the EMR will populate the answers to may questions asked. Items such as your address, phone numbers, contact information will have to be done by the user, while items like medications, procedures, allergies all use the self populating system, you just point and click the correct answer to the question asked and the list is automatically populated for you.
There is no definitive time limit, it will depend on the users amount of medical information that needs to be inserted into the medical software. On a personal note I completed my own in less than 45 minutes, my daughter on the other hand took a few hours due to the fact she is a dialysis patient with many complications and medications.
How do I transfer my medical records? It's quite simple actually, in the patients section of the electronic health record
(where the user inputs his / her information) 99% of the information requested is straight forward and in plain language. With drop down menus that automatically populates the answers for you it really is not to difficult at all.
Will my medical records be secure? Key
2 Life personal use EMR requires a password or pin that you select, secondly portions
can be encrypted for added security. Every Safe Guard Medi-Systems
electronic medical record has two portions, one for you and the other
for physicians, they will only see the medical
information you want them to see. It is worth noting that the physicians section is intended for a physician and as such they will require the users consent to update the electronic health record.
Can I access my medical records anywhere? Yes, all that is required is a computer with a USB port, in North America virtually all paramedics, police, fire departments and of course hospitals use them. You do not require an Internet connection, just a computer with power.
Your medical record is not stored
online therefore it cannot be compromised. The Key 2 Life EMR never
requires a battery, it is truly a stand alone
application.
My Doctor does not use this medical software program - what then? No need
to worry, just advise the physician to insert the
electronic health record into their computer USB port and press guest account to view the record. The physician will not be able to alter the record in guest mode, just view them. As stated earlier physicians will require your consent (your password or pin) to update the electronic file.
If you know a health care provider wishing to incorporate an EMR system into their practice let us know and we will offer them the Key 2 Life master software program at no cost.

look on a persons body for medical identification, the Key 2 Life EMR
will not be overlooked. Also each EMR is embossed with the universally

Key 2 Life E-EMR has a built in virus protection program,
if the computer in use has a virus the program will notify you that the
information you are trying to load has a virus and not to load it. It
